OUTREACH: We have been asked if a few of us could go along with our telescopes to an event being held at Samphire Hoe, Dover, on Sunday 7th August. It will run from 6pm – 10pm. I have explained that the sun does not set until 8.30pm and so we would not be able to get any real observing done before 10pm. However there is a 5 day old crescent moon visible that would be a good target to show the public. If you can make it,
Samphire Hoe is off the Dover to Folkestone carriageway of the A20. You access Samphire Hoe through a traffic light controlled tunnel in the cliff. CT17 9FL. The Map shows the location of the entrance to the tunnel down to the site.
