Mercury will transit the Solar disk between about Midday and 6:30pm. This can be safely observed (weather permitting!) via a properly solar-filtered telescope. Please contact us if you need any advice on observing the sun safely though a telescope. There is a planned SEKAS even linked to this – click here to go to the event page for more info… https://www.sekas.co.uk/events/paddock-event-transit-of-mercury/.
NOTE (and it’s a big important one…) : NEVER, EVER look at the sun without the proper filtration in place. Doing so can cause instant blindness.
